| The idea of setting
up a Foundation came to mind when Ruud and Leontien van Nistelrooy
got married on the 10th of July 2004. The couple
had doubled all donations received that day from
their guests. Some donations have been made and
you can read about this on this website.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is an ambassador for a charity called
SOS-Children’s Villages. This organisation
places orphans in a warm and loving family so
that they can have a better future.
We are delighted to announce that there is
a co-operation between our Foundation and SOS-
Children’s Villages. This means that our
Foundation can use its knowledge and experience
to realise a fantastic project, which is to
build a house, nr 10!, in Children’s Village
Moreilia, Mexico.
This village is already being build and €62,500
is needed to build this “Friends of Ruud
and Leontien House”. This will be the
major project of the Foundation, but we will
also continue supporting great causes in Holland.
